Reuben Foster, backline, University of Alabama

Foster is a top linebacker and he was probably the strongest linebacker in the Alabama team last season. Yes, it was stronger than Reggie Lagrange, who was selected by the Bill in the second round in 2016. Foster (185 cm, 107 kg) has a wide coverage on the field, taking into account both sides, very comprehensive. In addition, his raid ability is also very good, this season has 5 killings. Alabama has produced a number of first-round inside linebackers in recent years, including Rolando McLean (2010 show No. 8), Denta-Hectorville (No. 25, 2012), CJ-Mosley (2014) Year 17) This year, Foster will also inherit these traditions.

The 49ers linebacker Ruben Foster arrested for multiple allegations

According to the police station in Los Gatos, Calif., the 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested on Sunday morning for his family violence and threat of possessing offensive weapons. After receiving an alarm call, the police contacted Foster and the victim and detained Foster after a preliminary investigation.
Foster was later transferred to the main prison in Santa Clara County, bail 75,000 U.S. dollars. He was released on Sunday evening and the incident is still under investigation.
The 49ers spokesperson said: “The San Francisco 49ers have been concerned about the Reuben-Forster incident. We will carefully collect information and take this matter seriously.”
Prior to this, Foster was arrested by the Alabama Police Bureau for possession of marijuana on the 1.13th, and was released after paying a fine of 2,500 US dollars.
As last year’s 31st show, Foster was considered one of the top ten players in the draft, but it has been falling due to injuries and character issues. He also was sent home by the NFL when he was in a fitness camp because he quarreled with hospital staff.
Foster started the first 10 games for the 49ers last year, with a total of 72 cuddlings.

Malcolm – Jenkins

Security Guard, Philadelphia Eagles

The Ohio State University students were selected in the first round as corner guards at the 2009 NBA Draft. Jenkins is the first time in history to enter the list of top 100 players. It seems that transitioning from the corner guard to safety guards is very appropriate for Jenkins. He tied his own single-season interception record last season (3) and 72 successful tackles. His performance last season was very eye-catching: Jenkins completed two interceptions and returned to the touchdown, including one with Redskins intercepting Kirk Cousins’s 64-yard interception and returning touchdown. Jenkins continues to prove that he is one of the most powerful security guards in the league.

Eagles signed contract with security guard Jenkins for 5 years

The Philadelphia Eagles renewed their contract with the team’s core players for the first time. On Monday, local time, the team announced that it had reached an agreement with Malcolm Jenkins, a security agency, for a five-year contract that included a four-year extension. NFL official website reporter reported that the extended part of the four-year value of 35 million US dollars, including 21 million US dollars in the protection part. Under the new contract, the two parties will cooperate until 2020, with a contract size of US$40.5 million.

Previously, Jenkins contracted with the Eagles for a period of three years, worth $ 15.5 million, and will be the final year of the contract next season. The Hawks decided to finalize the future of this defensive core ahead of schedule and reach a consensus before the start of the new season. Jenkins is also the fourth player to be re-signed by the Hawks this offseason this year. The team’s next goal will be Fletcher Cox.

For the past two seasons, Jenkins has led the team in both picking and manufacturing errors. The 28-year-old safety guard is one of the most stable players in the Eagles’ current appearance, and the importance of defensive tactics is self-evident.

Jenkins: Bradford can win the Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles’ safety guard Malcolm Jenkins trusts quarterback Sam Bradford. In an interview, he said that Bradford has the ability to lead the team to the Super Bowl.

Jenkins said: “If the team can protect him and give him offensive weapons, then he has the ability to become a Super Bowl champion. In the past two seasons, there have been some rumors surrounding him. Especially in the first half of the season, I do not know How he feels in the locker room, it is not easy to be regarded as a leader on the team.”

Although Bradford won the trust of his teammates, it is still unknown whether the Hawks would like to extend his contract with him. Bradford’s contract expires at the end of the season, and as the team changes its coaching staff, the question of quarterback candidates is increasingly uncertain. Last season, Bradford got rid of injuries and the overall performance is quite satisfactory. With the depth of the season, there is no lack of outstanding performance. If the team decides to stay behind Bradford, whether to use the privilege label or to negotiate a long-term appointment, it is also a question that both parties need to consider.

Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr have little cooperation on the court due to David Beckham’s injury this season, but they still grab the limelight on the 52nd Super Bowl.

The two superstars danced together on the Super Bowl television screen. This was an advertisement, but it also became the most deeply remembered content of the entire Super Bowl fans, especially the climax, Manning raised Beckham. When he was, it was like the performances of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Who would have thought that Manning would have done this? Some fans commented on Twitter: “This is the third time. Manning won the game with a patriot.”

What is Manning’s next profession? Expressly declined to serve as narrator

After NFL legend Peyton Manning announced his retirement at the star-studded press conference in March 2016, the shop was full of speculation about his next move. Will this legendary quarterback become a coach? Or enter management like general manager John Elway? Or is it the next Troy Aikman on the commentary?

Everyone hopes to watch the big Manning commentary as they watch the game, but Manning himself has nothing to say about the game. According to the “New York Post” report, Manning was “unwilling” to work on television broadcasting, although he had previously received invitations from Fox and ESPN. Both of these media can give Manning the biggest stage: Fox acquired the Wholesale NFL Jerseys Thursday night night 5 years of broadcast rights on February 1, and ESPN headed tactics analyst Joe – Geludeng has been out of Oakland Raiders as head coach .

In addition, the two giants have a multi-billion-dollar cooperation with the NFL. Fox has paid 3.3 billion U.S. dollars for the broadcast rights on Thursday night in the next five seasons, and ESPN has paid US$1.5 billion to the NFL each year to obtain Full TV rights.

After the great success of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and CBS this year, both Fox and ESPN are pursuing Manning vigorously. ESPN hopes Manning to replace Joe Grooten as the game analyst of the Monday night race. Its executive, Stephanie-Julie, said: “Everybody loves Peyton Manning Jersey and people who don’t recruit him are definitely fools.”

According to a report by James Andriy Miller in September 2015, Gelden is ESPN’s highest-paid employee, earning US$6.5 million per year, and ESPN promises Manning more pay. However, Manning, who is the most football player in the history of the NFL, can’t shake his heart, and he clearly stated that he is not suitable for a full-time narrator. In addition, according to the survey, most rugby players “think that Manning will serve as a senior in an NFL team in the future.”

When interviewed at the beginning of the year, the legendary star said that it is very likely that the management of each team takes office, just like the general manager of the Denver Broncos, John Elvi. “Of course, what you said is very likely. As far as I know, Elvis didn’t get the job until he was 50. At that time, he hadn’t played for 12 years. I was only 41 this year and just passed the second one. The rest of the season, although some people are anxious for me, but this is my personal thing.” Manning said.

Perhaps Manning is also waiting for his brother Eli Manning to retire, and then he can draw on his brother and three brothers, and the family is investing in football, such as buying or forming a team. For Manning, he has always wanted to engage in rugby-related careers. People also hope that his next job will be as successful as his NFL career. Today’s Daman is very patient and ready to do so. Take the next step as a quarterback.

In the end Manning added that no matter what he plans to do next, he will be “infinitely close to football.”

Ndamukong Suh free agency rumors: Jets reportedly swoop in with giant offer

Wholesale Ndamukong Suh JerseyPro jersey dresses wholesale

It looks like there’s a chance that Ndamukong Suh could be staying in the AFC East. Although the belief was the Suh had his choices down to three teams, it seems that Jets are now making a late run at the veteran defensive tackle Youth Miami Dolphins Ndamukong Suh Aqua Mainliner Name & Number T-Shirt.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Jets are now a serious contender to land Suh, even though they weren’t one of the three teams that Suh met with earlier this week. If you’re wondering how the Jets became a contender, it’s because they’re apparently willing to offer a bucketload of money. According to, the Jets have made things interesting because they’ve given Suh his ‘biggest’ contract offer to date.

Before getting the Jets’ offer, it was believed that Suh had narrowed his choices down to three teams: the Titans, Rams and Saints. It’s not crazy to think that Suh’s camp leaked the reported large offer from the Jets in hopes that the Titans, Rams or Saints would increase their offers.

The Raiders also tried to get in the mix earlier this week after planning a visit with Suh, but the trip was canceled on Wednesday before the 31-year-old made it to the Bay Area.

If Suh’s plan is to make a money grab, then obviously the Jets have the best deal on the table. However, if he’s looking to win a Super Bowl as his career winds down, then it would probably make more sense to sign with the Rams, Saints or Titans.

One other advantage those three teams have is that Suh would get to play on a star-studded defensive line if he signs with any of them. The Titans have two-time Pro Bowler Jurrell Casey, the Saints have three-time Pro Bowler Cameron Jordan and the Rams have Aaron Donald, who was named the NFL’s 2017 Defensive Player of the Year.

Our Will Brinson made a list of nine potential landing spots for Suh and had the Jets ranked fifth due in large part to the fact that they could stand to replace some of the defensive linemen they’ve lost over the past few years, including Damon Harrison, Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson. It would also pair Suh with Leonard Williams.

One thing is for sure here: Suh is definitely taking it slowly with his free agency tour. According to Yahoo, the defensive tackle is at his home in Oregon and will consider his options from there, which means we might not see him agree to a deal until the weekend’s over.

Rams to meet with Ndamukong Suh after re-signing of Dominique Easley

The Rams, having completed the reshaping of their secondary, have moved on to strengthening their defensive line.

Free agent Ndamukong Suh, one of the most dominant NFL interior linemen of the past decade, is set to visit with the Rams this week and discuss the possibility of a contract.

The Rams on Monday agreed to terms with defensive end Dominique Easley, who missed all of last season with a major knee injury suffered during training camp. Easley, who played well as a backup in 2016, signed a one-year contract and should be ready for the start of the season.

Now, the question is whether the Rams can connect on a big swing and bring in Suh to play alongside linemen such as Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers, Ethan Westbrooks and Easley.

It became possible last week when the Miami Dolphins released Suh, midway through the record-setting six-year, $121 million contract he signed in 2015. Suh played well for the Dolphins, and recorded 15.5 sacks in three seasons, but the money became prohibitive for the Dolphins.

Suh, according to various media reports, visited with representatives from New Orleans and Tennessee this week. It was not immediately known whether Suh had any other trips planned this week.

Suh, who turned 31 in January, has a history of aggressive on-field incidents, but his level of play is unquestioned. The No. 2 overall pick of the 2010 draft, Suh excelled for five seasons in Detroit before he signed the big deal with Miami. Suh earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2010, 2013 and 2014.

chinese wholesale jersey free shipping

The Rams, almost certainly, will not be able to offer a big-money, long-term contract, but they might be able to sell Suh on the idea of a short-term deal and a chance at a Super Bowl ring.

Suh would be a remarkable piece on a defensive line that already features Donald, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and Brockers, who had an excellent 2017 season. The only question would be whether the Rams view Suh as a nose tackle in their 3-4 defense, or an end on Donald’s other side.

The Rams recently completed a run of big moves involving their secondary. They traded for Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, signed Sam Shields and re-signed Nickell Robey-Coleman. Collectively, that more than made up for the loss of Trumaine Johnson to the New York Jets via free agency.

Linebacker remains a position of need after the Rams traded Alec Ogletree and Robert Quinn, but the possible addition of a talent such as Suh no doubt would be tantalizing to coordinator Wade Phillips.

Easley is less of a certain bet, but he has potential. In 2016, as a primary backup at end, Easley played all 16 games and recorded 35 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Last year, the Rams signed Easley to a one-year contract worth just under $1.8 million and viewed him as a potential starter, but during training camp, Easley tore an ACL for the third time since high school.

Mens Kansas City Chiefs Eric Berry Nike Red Game Jersey. Rodney Harrison says Eric Berry is best active safety, but isn’t impressed by NFL’s crop

Rodney Harrison wasn’t quick to give a response when asked who he thinks is the best safety in the NFL. The former Chargers and Patriots safety doesn’t really seem to like what he sees.

“It’s hard because these safeties are so limited,” Harrison said during the week leading up to Super Bowl LII. “They don’t do everything. There’s not a lot of safeties that can do everything. So I can’t call it right now. I don’t think there are a lot of great safeties.

“I like Earl Thomas. I like Harrison Smith, although he’s not a great coverage safety. Eric Berry is really good when he’s healthy. Maybe Eric Berry. He’s probably the best safety out there.”

Harrison might be one of the game’s best safeties if he were playing today in his prime. But his style of play is slightly different to what these free safeties do in the NFL’s passing-centric state. The Seahawks and Chiefs use Thomas and Berry as heat-seaking missiles in the passing game to deliver big hits, interceptions or breakups. The Vikings’ Smith has developed into a run-supporting safety, but perhaps isn’t getting the coverage credit he deserves from Harrison. Smith had five interceptions in 2017, the most among the safeties which Harrison noted.

One player Harrison did not mention in that list was Devin McCourty. His name did not come up when Harrison was pressed to name the league’s best safety. McCourty had a down season — and an ugly Super Bowl when he struggled to limit Zach Ertz, who scored the game-winning coverage with McCourty in coverage.

But McCourty did come up when Harrison was asked if Belichick tends to pick players with high football IQs.

“I think you really need smart players. ‘It’s not the best 53,’ [Belichick] always said. ‘It’s the right 53,’” Harrisons said. “When you have players that buy into your system, guys that are unselfish like Devin McCourty. I had a chance to spend time with him. From the outside, I had one perspective of him. When I spent time with him, he’s just completely different. This guy’s just a leader. And just imagine having 20 or 30 of those guys in a locker room.”

Eric Berry assesses Chiefs’ recent moves and Patrick Mahomes as starter

Lost among all the NFL Combine hoopla was Chiefs safety Eric Berry visiting Good Morning Football to talk about his health, quarterback Alex Smith, cornerback Marcus Peters, and QB Patrick Mahomes.

Here’s the full video, with select quotes transcribed below:

On his health heading into the 2018 season:

“Man, I’m feeling great. Been working out, training down with my brothers down in Florida. We pretty much had a process and we’re just sticking to that. We know things are going to happen, things aren’t always going to go our way but you’ve just got to put all your energy into the things you can control.

My brothers and family and the Chiefs Kingdom have been reminding me of that. I’ve just been so focused on the process. Just getting it in every day and grinding. I love it.”

The more Berry and others talk about how great he feels, the more it seems like he’ll be ready to go Week 1 after tearing his Achilles last season. That’s a good sign for the Chiefs who desperately missed Berry in 2017.

On the Smith trade:

“The biggest thing about this whole season and all the transactions … that’s the worst part of having that injury because seeing now that was my last season with Alex or that was my last season with Ron (Parker) or Marcus (Peters).

The bonds that we built and just the things that we talked about. It’s hard to see them go. Like, dang, that was my last year with them and I didn’t get a chance to play with them.”

It’s worth noting that Berry mentions Parker among those who are leaving Kansas City. It was reported that the Chiefs are expected to cut Parker but that move hasn’t been officially announced yet.

On the Peters trade:

“He’s probably gonna kill me for this because I know he tries to keep a lot of stuff under the radar, but at the same time when everyone was bashing him for certain things, Marcus would go to the store and parents would be giving their kids, letting them pick out their shoes for the new school year, and he’d be just like, ‘I got that, don’t even worry about it Moms, I got that, I’ll pay for it.’

The headlines that reach are the ones that are the negative ones which I don’t really think are negative. It’s a balance between the way you express yourself and whatever and it’s all opinionated and everybody’s got their own opinion but why not put the stuff that he’s doing in the community? Let’s talk about him draining his Adidas account to do a coat drive in Kansas City. But nobody hears about that.

Just the type of person he is and the type of thing he does, I really just wish people would try to understand the person a little more. I know they see us on the field but try to understand where all this stuff is coming from before you make a judgment on somebody.”

college youth sports jerseys wholesale

Berry hits the nail on the head. Peters may have had some issues with his temper during games, but labeling him as a “thug” or saying he has “off-field issues” is absolute nonsense. Peters has helped so many kids in Kansas City and his hometown of Oakland, and has never had any problems off the field.

On Mahomes being the starter in 2018:

“I’m excited because he’s confident but he’s also a humble guy. He knows his abilities and he knows he has lots to learn. I’m excited about it. Just seeing him in practice, being able to throw on the run and challenge his skills to see what he can and can’t do, everyday trying to get better and get better. That’s something you can build with.”

It’s wonderful to hear so many rave about Mahomes. The players will miss Smith, but they seem to be equally excited about the potential of the new guy.

Berry also talked about the 2018 Pro-Athlete Business Combine, playing Madden, the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, and his fear of horses during the interview. Make sure to give it a watch.

T.Y. Hilton Selected To Fourth Straight Pro Bowl

The NFL today announced that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been selected to his fourth straight Pro Bowl. The game is being played Sunday, Jan. 28, in Orlando.

The Pro Bowl’s reigning top receiver on the AFC side is coming back for more.

The National Football League today announced that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been named to the 2018 Pro Bowl, which will be played Sunday, Jan. 28, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Hilton is replacing Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green, who is unable to participate due to injury.

It’s the fourth straight Pro Bowl selection for Hilton, who once again led the Colts in receiving in the 2017 season, as he played in and started all 16 games and totaled 57 receptions for 966 yards (16.9 yards per reception) and four touchdowns.

wholesale jerseys review online

Despite working with a brand new quarterback in Jacoby Brissett the entire season, Hilton was still able to have the fourth-best yards-per-reception mark in the league, while his 11 receptions for 25-plus yards were tied for the seventh-most in the NFL.

“That’s what they need me to do,” Hilton said. “I’m a big-play guy, so for me it’s just go out there, play my game and make the big plays. Normally when I make those plays, we win.”

Hilton’s right: in the Colts’ four victories in 2017, he averaged more than five receptions for almost 130 yards and scored a combined three touchdowns.

In Week 9, Hilton earned his first-career AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor for his performance against the Houston Texans, when he caught five passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. The receiving yardage total was the third highest for a regular season game in his career. The performance marked his 27th career 100-yard receiving game and his seventh career multiple touchdown game.

Over his career, Hilton has compiled 10 career 150-plus-yard receiving games, which is tied for the fourth-most in a player’s first six seasons in the NFL.

Hilton, who led the league in receiving yards last season (1,448), was also the AFC’s leading receiver in last year’s Pro Bowl, when he logged five catches for 58 yards, hauling in passes from all three quarterbacks in the AFC’s 20-13 victory over the NFC.

“It feels great,” Hilton said after that game. “We competed. The crowd was amazing. The crowd brought the energy and made us want to play even harder. … When you first get out there, everybody is trying to get warm, get used to each other. Then that second half, it really picks up. It was exciting getting a win.”

Hilton’s participation this year means the Colts will have been represented by at least one player in the Pro Bowl each year dating back to 1998.

Big-Bodied Receivers the Colts Should Target to Complement T.Y. Hilton

The Indianapolis Colts have a lot of unanswered questions heading into free agency, but one of the guaranteed positions to be filled is the wide receiver spot. The Colts will be looking for a receiver to pair up with T.Y. Hilton to alleviate pressure on him and to give their offense a big-bodied receiver to diversify their offense.

The Colts looking for a wideout this free agency is not a secret. Ballard made it known in his NFL Scouting Combine press conference. Ballard was quoted in his press conference:

“But at the wide receiver position, especially listening to Andrew and Jacoby talk and listening to Frank (Reich) and what they want, it’ll be a position where we’ll be looking.”

Chris Ballard is on the hunt to find a receiver to pair up with Hilton. Here are some of the best options for the Colts to look at in free agency.

Making the case for Clay Matthews to the Jets if he hits FA wholesale jerseys

If Clay Matthews is a salary cap casualty of the Green Bay Packers, the New York Jets should bring him aboard if he hits free agency.
Linebacker Clay Matthews has had a long and historic career so far in the NFL with nine years calling the Green Bay Packers home. Unfortunately, the NFL is a business as believe it or not, the Packers are considering cutting Matthews due to the salary cap savings they’d get back.

If the Packers use the potential out clause in his current contract, they can add $11 million to their salary cap, as per If that happens and Matthews decides to test the free agency market, he would make a lot of sense for the New York Jets.

At the end of the day, experience is the name of the game and even though Matthews doesn’t resemble the dominating linebacker he once was, he still has some gas left in the tank. The Jets could bring him into the mix on a one or two-year contract to serve as a bridge kind of player while also helping the younger linebackers around him hone their craft.

Considering that current linebackers coach Kevin Greene has worked with Matthews in the past when he was with the Packers, means an interesting situation for both sides to consider. Last year with the Packers, Matthews totaled 27 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

Matthews has experience in every linebacker position and would bring some much-needed pass rush to the Jets defense. If for some reason the Jets also fail to bring back potential free agent linebacker Demario Davis, Matthews might be a suitable replacement due to being a veteran of the game that does indeed come with a Super Bowl championship to his credit.

In the grand scheme of things, Matthews realistically has another year or two left before he considers retirement. If he’s able to spend it with his former linebackers coach and mentor Greene, it would be a favorable situation that could help the Jets continue rebuilding the right way. Matthews is a leader of men and would undoubtedly make an impact the moment he hits the gridiron if he’s able to land on the Jets next season.

Clay Matthews underwent ‘cleanup’ procedure on knee

The most important offseason of Clay Matthews’ career began with knee surgery.

A source told ESPN that the Green Bay Packers linebacker underwent a procedure that was described as “a cleanup” last week shortly after the season ended.

Matthews, the Packers’ career sacks leader with 80, missed two games last season, but neither was because of a knee injury. In 14 games, he recorded 7.5 sacks — his highest total since 2014.

The 31-year-old former Pro Bowler is entering a critical offseason. He’s scheduled to make $11.4 million in salary and bonuses in the final season of his five-year, $66 million contract that still has him as one of the highest-paid linebackers in the league. The Packers could ask Matthews to restructure his deal this offseason.

Matthews’ status with the team will be one of the first decisions for new general manager Brian Gutekunst.

Matthews, who missed one game last season because of a groin injury and another because of a hamstring injury, has not recorded a double-digit sack season since he had 11 in 2014.

Chris Harris Jr. is still an elite cornerback

From undrafted to one of the league’s premier NFL corners, the gridiron journey of Chris Harris Jr. has been phenomenal to watch. In his first season with the squad, he earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors, as well as the league’s Breakout Player of the League accolades. After a successful first year, Harris Jr. never looked back and has become a three-time All-Pro, Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion.

I think it’s safe to say that not only is Harris Jr. one of the best slot corners in the NFL, but one of the best players the Denver Broncos have ever had in the history of their franchise. A leader on the field and a leader in the community, Harris Jr. is the type of player every team wish they had on their roster. Thankfully, he is with the Broncos and hopefully, he remains with the team until he decides to hang up the cleats.

In 2017, Harris had 40 tackles, 7 passes defended, two interceptions and a forced fumble. It might have been a small drop in performance number wise, but everyone who watches the Broncos play knows his value on the field and recognizes the fact that many opposing quarterbacks don’t even bother throwing in his direction.

Chris Harris Jr. 2017 Grade from Pro Football Focus
For several seasons, Harris Jr. was ranked as one of the best corners in the entire league. Over the course of the past three seasons, no corner has allowed fewer yards per coverage snap than he has. It wasn’t a down year for him by any means, but his PFF grade was much lower than it has been in recent memory.

wholesale new 2018

According to Pro Football Focus, Harris Jr. received an overall grade of 83.5 and the league’s twenty-ninth ranked cornerback overall. This ranks him in the ‘above average’ category, but we know that he is better than above average — he is an elite player. On the season Harris Jr. played 869 snaps, which was roughly 88 percent of the defenses total plays. Keep in mind this number is lower than expected, considering he barely played in the season finale against the Chiefs.

Chris Harris Jr. Contract Outlook
Some players are underpaid, some players are overpaid. It’s safe to say that the Broncos are getting a phenomenal return on their investment with the former undrafted Jayhawk. He is under contract through the 2019 season at a very affordable rate and is scheduled to earn just shy of $20 million total the next two seasons. Overall, he is the 18th highest paid cornerback in the league and unquestionably outperforming most everyone else ahead of him. It’s an absolute bargain to have such a quality player at an affordable rate.

Chris Harris Jr. 2018 Status
Harris Jr. is a virtual lock to make the team in 2018 and should merit an extension sooner than later to ensure that he remains with the team the rest of his career. The Broncos have a storied tradition of finding undrafted gems who end up becoming fantastic players in the league and he is certainly one of them. It’s very rare to see a player endure their whole NFL career with one team, but I am hopeful that can become reality in respect to Harris Jr. — who should end up in the Ring of Fame someday and if the Hall of Fame voters can get it right, in the heralded halls of Canton as well.

Chris Harris Jr.: No-Fly Zone could be broken up after season

Chris Harris Jr. is the latest to hint at a sweeping overhaul in Dove Valley.

Gathering with the media Wednesday, the Broncos’ star cornerback said “it could possibly” be the end of the once-vaunted No-Fly Zone after the final regular season game concludes and the team shifts into offseason mode.

It’s no secret that general manager John Elway, in the wake of a historically-terrible 2017 campaign, is plotting major changes to personnel and perhaps the coaching staff. This includes, but is not limited to, moving on from high-priced defensive veterans, such as Aqib Talib and Darian Stewart — two mainstays of Denver’s famed secondary.

“We definitely have a lot of great teammates here that we’ve played together and have won a lot of games with each other,” said Harris. “You never know what’s going to happen. We don’t know if we’re going to rebuild or are we trying to win a Super Bowl next year. We don’t know the plans. Everybody’s just trying to put good film out there on the field this week, go hard and be pros. We have defensive goals to finish number one and that’s our goal.”

Among those on the potential chopping block, Harris should be considered safe. Talib, however, is a different story, with his age (32 in February) and 2018 salary cap number ($12 million) working against him. Elway will need to move some money around if, as expected, he hopes to land a big-fish quarterback like Kirk Cousins.

Which is why the players are bracing for impact.

“Nothing would surprise me, I’m just going to leave it at that,” Talib cryptically said Tuesday during a radio interview.

Elway showed this year he’s not afraid to make tough business decisions, surprisingly releasing respected safety T.J. Ward days before the season opener. The move ruffled feathers in the locker room and signaled that nobody — save for Von Miller — is immune from a pink slip.

Technically, the No-Fly Zone was broken up as soon as Ward departed. But that was merely the opening salvo.

Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly give Panthers the foundation for a title run

Here’s a look at the Super Bowl prospects of the Carolina Panthers, who finished the season 11-5. The tiers consist of: Realistic Super Bowl expectations; Should contend, but there are question marks; Middle of the pack; Lots of work to do; and Nowhere close.

Westgate odds to win Super Bowl LIII: 30-1

Should contend, but there are question marks: Carolina’s road to Super Bowl LII basically was stalled by the Saints, who beat the Panthers twice during the regular season and again in the playoffs. Only once in those three games — a 31-26 playoff loss at New Orleans — was Carolina at full strength. Now the odds-makers put the Panthers behind Seattle (20-1) and Dallas (20-1), which didn’t make the NFC playoffs? And way behind division rivals New Orleans (16-1) and Atlanta ((18-1)? You can almost hear Ron Rivera already using the “no respect” card. Not that the Panthers don’t have questions. They have new offensive and defensive coordinators. But only one of those changes was sparked by performance. Offensive coordinator Mike Shula was fired and Norv Turner hired with the hope a new set of eyes will help the growth of quarterback Cam Newton, who struggled passing for the second straight year after his 2015 MVP season. But Newton was good enough to get Carolina to the playoffs. Find him a true No. 1 receiver along with developing the young ones he has — and figuring out how to better use 2017 first-round pick Christian McCaffrey — and this offense can be dangerous. Hey, Philadelphia won it all with a backup quarterback and a rebuilt receiving corps. The defense that ranked seventh in the NFL should again be solid with linebacker Luke Kuechly and other key players returning. Defensive line coach Eric Washington is ready to replace coordinator Steve Wilks, hired as the head coach at Arizona. Remember, a change in coordinators last season didn’t have a negative impact. The question mark is: Will 38-year-old end Julius Peppers, who tied for the team lead in sacks with 11, be back? If he retires, that’ll leave a big hole. But the nucleus of what helped the Panthers reach the playoffs should be enough to make them one of a handful of NFC teams to watch.

Panthers: Upcoming season pivotal for Luke Kuechly’s career

Unless you live under a rock, you know that Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly is one of the most talented linebackers in the National Football League. When healthy, he is a force both in terms of tackling and while in pursuit of the football. That is just the thing: When healthy, he is one of the best. Ultimately, health might be the one thing that keeps him from sustaining success. Perhaps that is why the 2018 season is perhaps the biggest of his career to this point.

Kuechly has had an unfortunate history with concussions. Suffering three in as many seasons, his most recent one came during the Panthers’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday  Night Football back in October. This one in particular was alarming to many Panthers fans and even the national media took notice. Sports Illustrated wrote a series of articles detailing Kuechly’s concussion problems. One stated that in essence concussions were an unfortunate trend in his career while the other claimed he was the “poster child” for the concussion problem in the NFL.

As much as I hate to say it, the notion that he is a poster child for concussions may be true. Because of this, the 2018 season is a pivotal one.

There is no doubt he can produce. With five Pro Bowls and five first-team All-Pro selections, it would be difficult to say otherwise. With 527 tackles 10.5 sacks and 15 interceptions up to this point in his career, it is safe to say he has made his mark. Selected ninth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Boston College, he was the school’s highest draft pick since Matt Ryan was selected with the third overall pick in 2008. His sharp instincts and nose for the football endeared him to many Boston College fans. While at Chestnut Hill, he established himself as one of the top linebackers in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Now, entering his seventh season in the league, the uncomfortable question must be asked: If Kuechly suffers one more concussion, should he hang it up for good? My answer is yes.  It is a reality that has to be faced. As a big Kuechly fan, I would hate to see it, and so would football fans everywhere. With that being said, his overall health is more important than the game of football.

The 2018 season is monumental for Kuechly. He will either continue to be one of the most cataclysmic linebackers in the National Football League or be sidelined (perhaps for good) by another injury.

Ezekiel Elliott intends to put his suspension behind him.

That doesn’t mean it will go away wholesale jerseys.

Now that the Cowboys running back has cheap ezekiel elliott jersey dealt with the ramifications of his six-game suspension for domestic violence, it’s the NFL’s turn. The prolonged investigation into Elliott’s behavior and purported flaws in the process will be cited by the players in their looming negotiations with the NFL.

The collective bargaining agreement expires at the end of the 2020 season. DeMaurice Smith, the executive director of the Players Association, made it clear in a news conference Thursday that the players have no intention of extending the current agreement.

There’s a sense a pound of flesh was extracted from the players in previous negotiations and the union must make amends.

“We prepare for war,” Smith declared. “If we’re able to get a collective bargaining agreement done, that’s great. All of these men went through a unilateral declared war on players in 2010 and 2011.”

Smith declined to reduce the list of disagreements between the NFL and its players to a top three or five. The philosophical divide is too great — and the strategic benefit non-existent — to do so at this stage.

But the unchecked power of Roger Goodell on disciplinary matters is a major point of contention. Many players consider him a commissioner run amok.

Count Zak DeOssie of the New York Giants in that group. DeOssie, whose father played linebacker for the Cowboys along with three other NFL teams, is a member of the NFLPA’s executive committee.

He was one of the players on stage with Smith for Thursday’s news conference.
“This is an issue that has been a thorn in our side, commissioner discipline or player discipline, that we want to collectively bargain,” DeOssie said. “To let them have the autonomy to make these decisions, it’s honestly not good for us and it’s not good for the NFL.

“Any way we can move forward and get that collectively bargained is something we really want.”

There’s an owner in Dallas — more specifically, Frisco — who sides with DeOssie and the players on this issue.

There are fundamental differences between the NFL and its players. Smith spoke about how this will lead to a grinding, exhausting process.

The discipline imposed on Elliott and how Goodell arrived at that decision will be used by the players to grind on the NFL in the upcoming negotiations.
